A good argument for NOT giving blood...

David is a wonderful guy who gives blood just about every time the van comes to his school. His last experience, however, was not so pleasant. The guy had a really hard time finding his vein (I'll let you imagine that one on your own!), and then when he finally did and finished "collecting" what he needed, he put a gauze pad on with some pressure as would be expected. BUT, when he lifted it to check if David was done bleeding, he quickly slammed it back down and ran to get a cold compress. NOT a good sign! David was eventually allowed to leave, but the next day he felt sick and had a headache all day (we still don't know if that is at all related, but it IS rather coincidental!) That evening when he got home from school, he changed into his casual clothes and when he sat in the chair across from me and put his arm up behind his head I saw the damage! These photos are 2 and 3 days after the blood draw and it actually got worse than this before it got better. Poor David! What a dedicated helper to all mankind!
